Our QuickTreX® Weatherproof IP68 Connectorized HMFOC OptiTap® Cable Assemblies are made with the highest quality cable and components. They are designed to fit flawlessly with FlexNAP and OptiSheath® MDU and Fiber Distribution terminals often seen in fiber to the antenna or other waterproof connection installations. We start with genuine HMFOC OptiTap® connectors and precision terminate them to premium indoor/outdoor jacketed fiber optic cable with Corning® glass. We also offer all standard simplex fiber optic connectors for transitioning from a IP68 Rated side to a standard connectorized side often used in racks and enclosures. Our termination process delivers maximum physical contact for consistently low insertion loss and excellent return loss characteristics. Our assemblies are always proudly made in the USA and include a full test report. We also are ISO9001 certified so you can be assured we follow strict quality control measures during the manufacturing process of your assembly.
About OptiTap Connectors:
The OptiTap® assembly is designed for use in outside plant fiber access networks with FlexNAP and OptiSheath® MDU and Fiber Distribution terminals. This innovative cable assembly solution provides enhanced design flexibility, increased deployment speed and reduced installation cost. The OptiTap® connector is the key enabler for quick connection of fiber optic connectors in harsh environment locations. The connector is based on the field proven SC connector encapsulated in a hardened package suitable for use in any environment. These connectors are easily joined to make a watertight terminal or in-line connection. Factory installation and testing ensures reliability and low optical loss.
Typical Indoor/Outdoor Jacket Applications:
Our Indoor/Outdoor jacketed fiber optic cabling is perfect for connecting the networks of two buildings through the use of an underground conduit, headend termination to a fiber backbone, termination of fiber rack systems, multi-floor deployment where select fibers are used at each floor, or intra-building backbones. This cable is suitable for indoor and outdoor use, so there is no 50 foot fire code requirement traditionally found with outdoor (OSP) cable. This indoor/outdoor cable has a water blocking aramid yarn strength member surrounding the fiber optic strands and a UV resistant outer jacket making it a very versatile and perfect choice for a large variety of installations. This cable can be installed and left exposed in outdoor locations where blunt force or rodent chew damage is not a concern.
Standard QuickTreX® Manufacturing Features:
- Fast Custom ISO 9001 Certified Manufacturing in the USA.
- Each assembly includes a wrap around-label on both ends of the assembly which will include the QuickTreX® part number and individual serial number.
- Each Assembly includes a full test report. During our testing process all fiber ends are visually inspected with a fiberscope of 400 power or better for surface defects including, cracking, pitting, and scratches, on the glass surface of the connector. All connector ends are then tested utilizing a professional grade Loss Test Set
- The test report is saved in our database for 1 year and can be requested at any time.
- Pulling Eyes (pulling baskets) if equipped are made from super strong polyethylene mesh and feature a free-spinning buckle to eliminate twisting of the cable during the pull. Heat shrink tubing is used at: 1. Where the basket meets with the turnbuckle (pull eye hook) 2. Where the basket ends and connects with the cable jacket to prevent snags and promote a smooth pull.

LANshack: Best custom CAT8 ethernet cable on the market!
I needed a custom 55 foot S/FTP (Shielded Foiled Twisted Pair) CAT8 indoor ethernet cable for ethernet backhaul between two Eero mesh routers. I did tons of research (including Grok) and I came across LANshack.com. They have the thickest 23AWG wire in their custom CAT8 cable vs 26AWG on Amazon (lower number is thicker; 23AWG wire has roughly twice the cross-sectional area of 26AWG). Excellent price per foot, and this cable is thick! Very quick turnaround once you order from them. I am very pleased with LANshack and I will order from them again for future projects!
