This 1 X 2 SC APC Singlemode Mini 0.09mm Fiber Optic PLC Splitter allows you to take 1 single strand of singlemode fiber and split it into 2 strands. This allows you to get an extra connections depending on whether you are using 2 fiber or 1 fiber bi-directional SFP transceivers or switches. This PLC fiber optic splitter utilizes planar lightwave circuit technology which works by diving one lightwave into two lightwaves. PLC technology provides a stable and reliable solution for your fiber optic network. Fiber optic splitters work great for PONs (Passive Optical Networks such as EPON, GPON, FTTX, and more. Simply connect this splitter to the MDF to create the 2 separate fiber runs.
This splitter can fit into any standard enclosure. The connectors are high quality APC polished to reduce loss and 100% factory tested. Insertion loss <0.3dB and return loss >50dB.

How do I choose the right splitter for my application?
The choice depends on the number of outputs required, connector type (SC or LC), and installation method (cassette or mini splitter). Matching the splitter type to your network architecture ensures optimal performance.
What’s the difference between LGX and CGX splitters?
LGX and CGX refer to cassette chassis (mounting size and style). LGX splitters are designed to fit standard LGX rack panels, while CGX is a compact cassette style often used for high-density installations. We offer both so be sure to check that the product / chassis selected matches the slots or chassis style in your enclosure.
Do splitters cause signal loss?
Yes, all optical splitters introduce some insertion loss, but PLC splitters are designed to keep this loss minimal and evenly distributed across all output fibers.
Where are fiber optic splitters commonly used?
They are widely deployed in Passive Optical Networks (PONs), data centers, FTTX rollouts, and enterprise systems that require splitting one optical signal to multiple locations.
Are these splitters singlemode or multimode?

LANshack: Best custom CAT8 ethernet cable on the market!
I needed a custom 55 foot S/FTP (Shielded Foiled Twisted Pair) CAT8 indoor ethernet cable for ethernet backhaul between two Eero mesh routers. I did tons of research (including Grok) and I came across LANshack.com. They have the thickest 23AWG wire in their custom CAT8 cable vs 26AWG on Amazon (lower number is thicker; 23AWG wire has roughly twice the cross-sectional area of 26AWG). Excellent price per foot, and this cable is thick! Very quick turnaround once you order from them. I am very pleased with LANshack and I will order from them again for future projects!
