Our QuickTreX® 18 Adapter (1-36) Fiber Outdoor IP68 Rated Aerial Horizontal / Wall Mountable Fiber Optic Splitter / Splice / Distribution Enclosure with Splice Sleeves, Splice Tray, and Mounting Hardware is IP68 rated and perfect for interconnectivity and termination of optical fibers in outdoor overhead distribution locations and for wall mount locations. It's made of high strength PP plastics to provide heavy duty UV and waterproof protection of your fiber optic connectors. It's also corrosion and aging resistant. Our 1-36 fiber optic aerial/wall mount PLC splitter / splice enclosure includes one 12/24 fiber hinged splice tray and is designed to house an optional PLC splitter cassette. It also includes an 18 adapter capacity panel for installations that require feedthrough couplings of fiber optic connectors. This fiber enclosure also offers a high quality sealing gasket to help seal out moisture and dust. This enclosure has a clamp stile door and is designed to be aerially on a guy wire and can also be wall mounted. It includes aerial mounting brackets,16 splice sleeves, electrical tape, hose/cable clamps, and zip ties.

What does UHD stand for?
UHD stands for "Ultra High Density" and provides the most compact connector layout or footprint on the adapter panel. UHD enclosures or panels can only accept UHD adpater panels or cassettes.
What does SHD chassis mean?
SHD stands for "Super High Density" and provides a more compact connector layout or footprint on the adapter panel. SHD chassis enclosures can only accept SHD adapter panels or MTP/MPO cassettes.
How many fiber strands can fit into a fiber optic enclosure?
The amount of fiber strands that you can fit into an enclosure will depend on how many panels or adapters you can fit and what type of connectors you choose. For example, if you choose a 1 panel enclosure and use a 12LC adapter panel, you can house or couple 12 fibers in that enclosure. If you use 12 MTP/MPO adapter panel, you can house or couple 144 or 288 strands depending on whether the MTP or MPO connector being connected is a 12 or 24 fiber connector.
What does LGX stand for?
LGX stands for Lucent Connector Group and is often called Lucent Global X. It was originally Lucent Technologies standard for fiber optic adapter plates and enclosures but over time it became industry standard.
What are the different types of chassis in fiber optic enclsoures?
The three main chassis are LGX, SHD, and UHD. LGX is the most common and standardized chassis type.

LANshack: Best custom CAT8 ethernet cable on the market!
I needed a custom 55 foot S/FTP (Shielded Foiled Twisted Pair) CAT8 indoor ethernet cable for ethernet backhaul between two Eero mesh routers. I did tons of research (including Grok) and I came across LANshack.com. They have the thickest 23AWG wire in their custom CAT8 cable vs 26AWG on Amazon (lower number is thicker; 23AWG wire has roughly twice the cross-sectional area of 26AWG). Excellent price per foot, and this cable is thick! Very quick turnaround once you order from them. I am very pleased with LANshack and I will order from them again for future projects!
