Our QuickTreX® 16 Adapter Fiber Optic Distribution Enclosure (1 - 32 Fiber) Premium Heavy Duty Water-resistant Outdoor IP65 Rated Wall Mount / Pole Mount Box with Wire Management, 12 Fiber Splice Tray, Splice Sleeves, and Locking Door with Key is perfect for interconnectivity, termination, and splicing of optical fibers in outdoor harsh environment locations. It's made of PC + ABS material to provide heavy duty UV, waterproof protection of your fiber optic connectors and splices. It is UV resistant and also offers superior crush resistance. It is compatible with standard fiber optic adapters/couplers with a flange. This 16 adapter fiber optic distribution enclosure includes wire management and also includes a hinged 12 fiber splice tray so you can use it for splicing fiber pig tails or for coupling of pre-terminated fiber optic assemblies and/or patch cables. The enclosure includes an excellent sealing strip and rubber gromets to help seal out moisture and dust. It also includes a lockable door with key help protect from anyone accessing the box. This box is also great for indoor installations such as warehouses and factories where lots of dust and potential contamination takes place.

What does UHD stand for?
UHD stands for "Ultra High Density" and provides the most compact connector layout or footprint on the adapter panel. UHD enclosures or panels can only accept UHD adpater panels or cassettes.
What does SHD chassis mean?
SHD stands for "Super High Density" and provides a more compact connector layout or footprint on the adapter panel. SHD chassis enclosures can only accept SHD adapter panels or MTP/MPO cassettes.
How many fiber strands can fit into a fiber optic enclosure?
The amount of fiber strands that you can fit into an enclosure will depend on how many panels or adapters you can fit and what type of connectors you choose. For example, if you choose a 1 panel enclosure and use a 12LC adapter panel, you can house or couple 12 fibers in that enclosure. If you use 12 MTP/MPO adapter panel, you can house or couple 144 or 288 strands depending on whether the MTP or MPO connector being connected is a 12 or 24 fiber connector.
What does LGX stand for?
LGX stands for Lucent Connector Group and is often called Lucent Global X. It was originally Lucent Technologies standard for fiber optic adapter plates and enclosures but over time it became industry standard.
What are the different types of chassis in fiber optic enclsoures?
The three main chassis are LGX, SHD, and UHD. LGX is the most common and standardized chassis type.

One of the items ordered was damaged in transit. Issue was reported and a return label was sent the next day. Packaging should be improved as the replacement was damaged as well but they replied again very quickly and are working to resolve the issue to the best of their ability. This is the second time ordering from LANshack. Both times were great experiences. If you are a DIY person who has tried to but RJ-45 connectors on cat cable you can imagine how great it is to just do the measurements and avoid that brain damage. Great service and good quality product.

LANshack: Best custom CAT8 ethernet cable on the market!
I needed a custom 55 foot S/FTP (Shielded Foiled Twisted Pair) CAT8 indoor ethernet cable for ethernet backhaul between two Eero mesh routers. I did tons of research (including Grok) and I came across LANshack.com. They have the thickest 23AWG wire in their custom CAT8 cable vs 26AWG on Amazon (lower number is thicker; 23AWG wire has roughly twice the cross-sectional area of 26AWG). Excellent price per foot, and this cable is thick! Very quick turnaround once you order from them. I am very pleased with LANshack and I will order from them again for future projects!
