Unterminated Fiber By The Foot
QuickTreX® MTP® Premium Trunk Assemblies are built custom for your critical high density network. We start with genuine MTP® connectors from US Conec® and precision terminate them to genuine Corning ClearCurve® Fiber. Our MTP® termination process delivers uniform height and positioning for maximum physical contact, consistently low insertion loss, and excellent return loss characteristics across the entire 12 fiber interface. These ruggedized assemblies transition to 3mm sequentially numerically labeled buffer tubes and simplex connectors (to your choosing). Our assemblies are proudly made in the USA by highly trained technicians. We have strict quality control measures in place so you can be certain your assembly will work perfect once installed.
Typical Outdoor Armored Direct Burial (OSPDB) Jacket Applications:
Our Corning Altos® Outdoor Armored Direct Burial (OSPDB) Pre-Terminated MTP Trunk Assemblies are rated for almost all outdoor applications. These MTP assemblies are the most durable and rugged assemblies we offer for permanent installation. They are designed for installation directly buried in trenches and underground installation where rodent chew damage is a concern, overhead lashed to a guy wire, or secured to a building or other permanent outdoor structure. This jacket design also offers superior crush resistance. Our outdoor armored MTP trunk assemblies are perfect for campus backbones, headend termination to a fiber backbone, and intra-building backbones. They are also designed for a variety of voice, data, video, and image applications. If installing in conduit we recommend using at least a 3" diameter conduit to accommodate for the assembly breakout.
Choosing a direct burial rated jacket helps save time and money in outdoor applications where conduit is necessary, or in industrial environments which require extra protection. Although this option is priced higher than standard indoor/outdoor distribution cable that needs to be ran inside conduit, it outweighs its overall price when compared the cost of purchasing conduit and then the labor involved having to pull the cable through it. This outdoor (OSPDB) armored cable has a heavy duty polyethylene (PE) UV and water proof jacket, corrugated steel tubing, and water blocking swellable tape surrounding the fiber optic strands. Note: Polyethylene (PE) OSP cable is restricted to a 50 feet run indoors due to fire-code restrictions.

I have used LANshack for custom pre-terminated fiber assemblies for a couple of years now. The quality of the product is top notch. Setting up a new building and ordered this 1200' to connect 2 buildings together. Great termination quality. Zero issues installing and connecting. Connection lit from the start. Thank you very much.

Whenever we need to install a fiber link from one building to another, we order pre-terminated assemblies from LANshack ! Always done right, very reasonable turn around times. Shipping deals are always a plus.
An MTP/MPO trunk assembly is a fiber optic cable that has been terminated with MTP/MPO connecctors. It is designed for high-density, high-speed data transmission in data centers, enterprise networks, and telecom applications.
Q
What is the difference between MPO and MTP?
A
MPO (Multi-fiber Push-on) is a generic term for multi-fiber connectors, while MTP (Multi-fiber Termination Push-on) is a specific, higher-performance version of MPO designed by US Conec. MTP connectors are designed to offer better mechanical and optical performance than standard MPO connectors.
Q
What is a MTP or MPO connector?
A
It is a is a Multi-fiber Termination Push-on connector that consists of either 12 or 24 fibers used to connect multiple optical fibers in a compact form factor, ensuring efficient data transmission.
Q
What is a pulling eye?
A
A pulling eye is an additional attachment that we offer optionally on our MTP trunk assemblies. They are designed to facilitate installation. It provides a sturdy attachment point for your pull string or rope, allowing you to pull the cable through conduits or tight spaces without damaging the connectors or fiber strands. The benefit of using a pulling eye is that it reduces the risk of damage during installation, especially in complex pathways or confined spaces. Our pulling eyes include a swivel buckle that twists during the pull preventing twisting of the cable which can cause damage.
Q
What fiber types are available for indoor MTP trunk cable assemblies?
A
We offer indoor MTP trunks in OM3, OM4, and singlemode options. Each is engineered for specific bandwidth and distance requirements, giving you flexibility to match your network’s performance needs.

This is the second time ordering from LANshack. Both times were great experiences. If you are a DIY person who has tried to but RJ-45 connectors on cat cable you can imagine how great it is to just do the measurements and avoid that brain damage. Great service and good quality product.

LANshack: Best custom CAT8 ethernet cable on the market!
I needed a custom 55 foot S/FTP (Shielded Foiled Twisted Pair) CAT8 indoor ethernet cable for ethernet backhaul between two Eero mesh routers. I did tons of research (including Grok) and I came across LANshack.com. They have the thickest 23AWG wire in their custom CAT8 cable vs 26AWG on Amazon (lower number is thicker; 23AWG wire has roughly twice the cross-sectional area of 26AWG). Excellent price per foot, and this cable is thick! Very quick turnaround once you order from them. I am very pleased with LANshack and I will order from them again for future projects!
