QuickTreX® MTP® Premium Trunk Assemblies are built custom for your critical network. We start with genuine MTP® connectors from US Conec® and precision terminate them to genuine Corning SMF 28e+® Singlemode Laser optimized fiber. Our MTP® termination process delivers uniform height and positioning for maximum physical contact, consistently low insertion loss, and excellent return loss characteristics across the entire 12 fiber interface. These ruggedized assemblies transition to 3mm sequentially numerically labeled buffer tubes and simplex connectors (to your choosing). Our assemblies are proudly made in the USA by highly trained technicians.  We have strict quality control measures in place so you can be certain your assembly will work perfect once installed.

Typical Outdoor (OSP) SST Drop Jacket Applications:

Our Corning® SST-Ribbon™ Gel-Free Drop Outdoor (OSP) Pre-Terminated Fiber Optic Cable Assemblies are rated for almost all outdoor applications. This cable is unique since it's self-supporting, meaning it can be installed aerially without a messenger, while also being durable enough for direct burial installations.  If directly burying and rodents are a concern, we do recommend using our armored outdoor direct burial cable or using a conduit for extra protection.  This cable is also perfect for installations inside conduit and pathways that are subjected to wide temperature variations or secured to a building or other permanent outdoor structure.  It's rugged all dielectric design makes it a popular choice for a variety of outdoor installations.  Our outdoor (OSP) pre-terminated fiber optic assemblies are perfect for headend termination to a fiber backbone and intra-building backbones.  If installing in conduit we recommend using at least a 2 1/2" diameter conduit to accommodate for the assembly breakout.

Typical Applications Include:

  • Outdoor Aerial
  • Duct and Direct-buried
  • Indoor when installed according to National Electrical Code® (NEC®) Article 770

First time I've ordered from LANshack, will definitely use them in the future for pre-terminated custom fiber assemblies. Shipped quick and direct to customer.

I have used LANshack for custom pre-terminated fiber assemblies for a couple of years now. The quality of the product is top notch. Setting up a new building and ordered this 1200' to connect 2 buildings together. Great termination quality. Zero issues installing and connecting. Connection lit from the start. Thank you very much.

Questions & Answers

Q
What is an MTP or MPO trunk cable assembly?
A
An MTP/MPO trunk assembly is a fiber optic cable that has been terminated with MTP/MPO connecctors. It is designed for high-density, high-speed data transmission in data centers, enterprise networks, and telecom applications.
Q
What is the difference between MPO and MTP?
A
MPO (Multi-fiber Push-on) is a generic term for multi-fiber connectors, while MTP (Multi-fiber Termination Push-on) is a specific, higher-performance version of MPO designed by US Conec. MTP connectors are designed to offer better mechanical and optical performance than standard MPO connectors.
Q
What is a MTP or MPO connector?
A
It is a is a Multi-fiber Termination Push-on connector that consists of either 12 or 24 fibers used to connect multiple optical fibers in a compact form factor, ensuring efficient data transmission.
Q
What lengths can I have my MTP trunk made to?
A
We offer lengths from 1 ft through 5000 ft.
Q
What is a pulling eye?
A
A pulling eye is an additional attachment that we offer optionally on our MTP trunk assemblies. They are designed to facilitate installation. It provides a sturdy attachment point for your pull string or rope, allowing you to pull the cable through conduits or tight spaces without damaging the connectors or fiber strands. The benefit of using a pulling eye is that it reduces the risk of damage during installation, especially in complex pathways or confined spaces. Our pulling eyes include a swivel buckle that twists during the pull preventing twisting of the cable which can cause damage.
