The process of testing a network installation to ensure adherence to standards is called certification, often requiring hard-copy documentation as proof. The Fiber OWL 7 (p/n: F7V) optical power meter, compatible with multimode, includes a user-friendly Fiber Link Wizard for setup, link budget calculation, and optical reference. It can store up to 10,000 fiber runs in memory, downloadable for reports via OWLView software.
The F7V detector port has 2 adapter caps for 2.5mm connectors (SC, ST, FC) and 1.25mm connectors (LC), with LC visual fault locator and length testing ports. The WaveSource Pro MM/VFL (p/n: WPMV) light source, designed for multimode networks (850nm & 1300nm), has temperature-stabilized dual-wavelength outputs and auto-wavelength switching to sync with the F7V. The integrated VFL port enables visual fault location and fiber identification.
The Fiber OWL 7V MM/VFL Test Kit includes tools for Tier 1 certification of multimode networks, adhering to various cabling standards. SC connectors come standard. Bids and RFQs often cite cabling standards (e.g., fiber length) to ensure quality and performance. Automated testing features like dual-wavelength storage and auto-wavelength recognition enhance efficiency by reducing testing time and errors.

Tom personally reached out to me, took ownership of the situation, and worked to get my order resolved. He communicated with me directly, ensured the order was shipped, refunded the shipping charges, and provided a discount for the inconvenience.

LANshack: Best custom CAT8 ethernet cable on the market!
I needed a custom 55 foot S/FTP (Shielded Foiled Twisted Pair) CAT8 indoor ethernet cable for ethernet backhaul between two Eero mesh routers. I did tons of research (including Grok) and I came across LANshack.com. They have the thickest 23AWG wire in their custom CAT8 cable vs 26AWG on Amazon (lower number is thicker; 23AWG wire has roughly twice the cross-sectional area of 26AWG). Excellent price per foot, and this cable is thick! Very quick turnaround once you order from them. I am very pleased with LANshack and I will order from them again for future projects!
