The Fiber OWL 7V Quad Test Kit includes essential tools for certifying fiber optic links to popular standards in singlemode and multimode networks, commonly known as Tier 1 certification.
The Fiber OWL 7V (p/n: F7V) optical power meter supports multimode and singlemode testing, featuring a Fiber Link Wizard with color diagrams for setup guidance, link budget calculation, and optical reference setting. It can store up to 10,000 fiber runs and download data via OWLView software.
The WaveSource Pro Quad (p/n: WPMS) fiber optic light source is designed for multimode (850nm & 1300nm) and singlemode (1310nm & 1550nm) network certification. Dual-wavelength outputs are temperature-stabilized for precision, with auto-wavelength switching for synchronizing with the F7V.
The F7V has a universal detector port with adapter caps for 2.5mm connectors (SC, ST, FC) and 1.25mm connectors (LC). Integrated VFL and length testing ports are LC.
Intelligent automated testing features, like auto-wavelength recognition and dual-wavelength storage, enhance efficiency by reducing test time and human error.

LANshack: Best custom CAT8 ethernet cable on the market!
I needed a custom 55 foot S/FTP (Shielded Foiled Twisted Pair) CAT8 indoor ethernet cable for ethernet backhaul between two Eero mesh routers. I did tons of research (including Grok) and I came across LANshack.com. They have the thickest 23AWG wire in their custom CAT8 cable vs 26AWG on Amazon (lower number is thicker; 23AWG wire has roughly twice the cross-sectional area of 26AWG). Excellent price per foot, and this cable is thick! Very quick turnaround once you order from them. I am very pleased with LANshack and I will order from them again for future projects!
