The QuickTreX® 1km OTDR Launch Box is a precision-engineered solution designed to enhance the accuracy and reliability of fiber optic testing. Built with premium G.652D singlemode fiber, this launch cable eliminates OTDR dead zones and ensures accurate measurement of insertion loss and reflectance at both ends of a fiber link.
This unit features a 1 km fiber spool along with dual 56-inch (1.4 m) launch leads on both ends, allowing for flexible connection to OTDR equipment and under-test fiber while improving test consistency and convenience in the field.
Housed in a durable, high-visibility yellow hard-shell case, the launch box is built to withstand demanding environments. The internal spool design keeps the fiber neatly managed and protected, while the secure latch closure and integrated carabiner clip make transport easy and reliable.
Equipped with SC/APC connectors, the cable delivers low insertion loss and high return loss performance, making it ideal for singlemode testing in telecom networks, data centers, and FTTx deployments.
Each unit includes documented factory test results, providing confidence in performance right out of the box.

LANshack: Best custom CAT8 ethernet cable on the market!
I needed a custom 55 foot S/FTP (Shielded Foiled Twisted Pair) CAT8 indoor ethernet cable for ethernet backhaul between two Eero mesh routers. I did tons of research (including Grok) and I came across LANshack.com. They have the thickest 23AWG wire in their custom CAT8 cable vs 26AWG on Amazon (lower number is thicker; 23AWG wire has roughly twice the cross-sectional area of 26AWG). Excellent price per foot, and this cable is thick! Very quick turnaround once you order from them. I am very pleased with LANshack and I will order from them again for future projects!
