The QuickTreX® Fiber Optic Talk Set is a professional-grade full-duplex communication tool designed for fiber optic technicians working in the field. Engineered for clarity, reliability, and long-distance performance, this unit enables seamless voice communication over fiber links up to 80 km.
Operating at dual wavelengths (1310/1550nm), the system ensures stable and interference-free communication across singlemode fiber networks. With support for SC, ST, and FC UPC connectors—plus an included LC UPC conversion adapter—this talk set offers maximum compatibility with a wide range of fiber environments.
Secure Communication Over Fiber
Unlike traditional radios or mobile phones, the QuickTreX® Talk Set allows technicians to communicate securely using a simplex singlemode fiber optic cable. Because the signal is transmitted directly over fiber, conversations remain isolated from wireless interference and external interception—making it ideal for sensitive network environments and mission-critical work.

Each unit includes a comfortable headset for hands-free operation, allowing technicians to stay focused while working. The rugged, portable design and included carry case ensure durability and convenience on job sites, from data centers to outdoor installations.

One less worry

LANshack: Best custom CAT8 ethernet cable on the market!
I needed a custom 55 foot S/FTP (Shielded Foiled Twisted Pair) CAT8 indoor ethernet cable for ethernet backhaul between two Eero mesh routers. I did tons of research (including Grok) and I came across LANshack.com. They have the thickest 23AWG wire in their custom CAT8 cable vs 26AWG on Amazon (lower number is thicker; 23AWG wire has roughly twice the cross-sectional area of 26AWG). Excellent price per foot, and this cable is thick! Very quick turnaround once you order from them. I am very pleased with LANshack and I will order from them again for future projects!
