Outdoor (OSP) Aerial Multimode OM3 Fiber Optic Cable with Messenger – Pre-Terminated
Our Outdoor (OSP) Aerial Pre-Terminated Fiber Optic Cable Assemblies with Messenger are engineered for reliable high-speed connectivity in demanding outdoor environments. Designed in a Figure-8 aerial configuration, these assemblies integrate the messenger wire, webbing, and fiber optic cable into a single cable structure, allowing for simple one-step installation along utility poles without the need for cable lashing.
By eliminating the need to purchase and install separate messenger and lashing wires, this design significantly reduces installation time, material costs, and labor requirements. The integrated messenger provides strong aerial support, while the rugged construction ensures dependable long-term performance in outdoor deployments.
The cable features laser-optimized OM3 50/125 multimode bend-insensitive fiber, supporting high-bandwidth applications such as Gigabit and 10-Gigabit Ethernet. It delivers Gigabit Ethernet distances up to 1000 meters at 850 nm and 600 meters at 1310 nm, and 10-Gigabit Ethernet up to 300 meters, making it ideal for modern high-speed network infrastructure.
A heavy-duty polyethylene (PE) outer jacket protects the cable against harsh outdoor conditions including moisture, temperature extremes, and physical stress. Internally, aramid yarn strength members, fillers, ripcords, and a central strength member provide additional durability and ease of cable preparation. The cable operates reliably in temperatures ranging from -40°C to +85°C, ensuring consistent performance in extreme climates.
These pre-terminated outdoor fiber assemblies are ideal for a wide range of network deployments, including headend connections to fiber backbones, campus networks, and intra-building backbone links.
Note: Polyethylene (PE) OSP cable is restricted to a maximum 50-foot indoor run due to fire-code regulations.

LANshack: Best custom CAT8 ethernet cable on the market!
I needed a custom 55 foot S/FTP (Shielded Foiled Twisted Pair) CAT8 indoor ethernet cable for ethernet backhaul between two Eero mesh routers. I did tons of research (including Grok) and I came across LANshack.com. They have the thickest 23AWG wire in their custom CAT8 cable vs 26AWG on Amazon (lower number is thicker; 23AWG wire has roughly twice the cross-sectional area of 26AWG). Excellent price per foot, and this cable is thick! Very quick turnaround once you order from them. I am very pleased with LANshack and I will order from them again for future projects!
