RF Connectors & Adapters

Coaxial RF connectors maintain the shielding of the coaxial cable, and are designed to work with radio frequencies. The fastening mechanism allows for high mating cycles and a reduction in the insertion force. The UHF (or Ultra High Frequency) connector is a type of RF connector that is threaded. In todays standard, ultra high frequencies are frequencies between 300 MHz and 3 GHz.

Mini-UHF connectors are miniaturized versions of the UHF connectors. These are used primarily in applications where size is an important consideration. The Mini-UHF has a 3/8-24 thread size and operates up to 2.5 GHz. The performance is typically better on a mini-UHF, but is similar in construction with a threaded outer portion, center pin, and toothed ends which prevent twisting and loosening.
