A dependable fiber optic connector endface inspection microscope is a vital part of any fiber optic professional s tool kit. Inspecting backbone fiber runs or patch cord connector endfaces before attaching them to equipment or patch panels saves time and effort, and ensures a clean, quality connection. Our QuickTreX 400x fiber inspection microscope is an excellent low-cost option for inspecting both multimode and singlemode fiber optic connectors, and includes a protective infrared (IR) filter designed for eye safety. This handheld microscope utilizes a white LED light which is illuminates the fiber optic connector endface and shows if your connector is clean or if it has contamination and needs to be cleaned. It also includes a storage/carry case that can be either be attached to a work belt or carried with a standard handle. Also included are two connector adapters for 1.5mm and 2.5mm ferrule diameters. With these two adapters you can inspect all common standard fiber optic connectors including: LC, SC, ST, and FC. This microscope takes 3 standard AAA batteries (not included).
How to Use: To use this microscope you simply attached the correct adapter to the front of the microscope and plug the connector into the adapter. Then you press the button to illuminate the fiber optic endface, look into the microscope, and spin the focus wheel until the fiber optic endface comes into focus. It's that easy!
